So we recently rescued several rodents and unfortunately, we can’t keep all of them so some will need to go to good homes.
We got a mama Syrian hamster and her five daughters, affectionately dubbed the Weasleys. However, this type of hamster must be housed alone or they will fight. As the girls are starting to get pretty big, we need to separate them sooner rather than later. They’re all very sweet.
We also have a solitary male gerbil named Phillip who has not taken well to attempts to socialize him with other gerbils, viciously attacking the others so unfortunately he must also be kept alone, despite gerbils being social creatures. He was taken from a hoarder’s home and we suspect he lived his whole life alone. He will need patience and gentle handling. He loves newspaper and building really elaborate nests.
We unfortunately live in an apartment and don’t have room for 8 separate rodent enclosures so we’re looking to place these guys into good homes.
If you live in central Washington state and would like to give a home to one of these sweet little furballs, send me or @indigognat a message! Even if you don’t, any signal boosts would be greatly appreciated so we can get them placed safely into loving homes.
