michiru, part time!

rhiorhino:

For the lovely @docholligay, who has so patiently waited for me to get off my ass and finish: Michiru in part time! I took it kind of literally here cause c’mon, Michiru? In a fast-food restaurant? Fucking amazing. I’m trying to decide if it was Michiru who wrote her tag, or some other employee who took pity on the poor customers who turned to her to take their order.

I don’t generally use this style for like…finished shit cause I feel like a confused and frightened baby without my lines (can you tell lmao) I’m kinda diggin it though? I might keep it. I hope you like it Doc!

Aha so this was for Doc’s Fall prompt party thing but I think I’m late..?? Either way, “ghost in the house” Michiru was a touch lonely in the afterlife and in no way at all was bitter about not getting bubble baths and wine. Absolutely not.

(sneaky edit to fix a couple things)

Ok so I have a problem and a question: last night while I was driving home I heard a couple of songs that gave me some hardcore Michiru feels and it kind of inspired me to doodle this cute little image I had of her. Unfortunately (fortunately?) while I was on the walk up to my apartment that image kind of..morphed(?) until it had two other very distinct feels to it. Now, if you know me, you know I generally don’t doodle Michiru very much because…well..she’s Michiru! I am like 100% terrified of drawing her wrong at all times. This however, I really really want to draw but I’d like another opinion (or five or ten)! So, should Michiru be:

(a) happy and in love, gazing out into the sunrise of her life, no regrets, only peace

(b) sad, bittersweet, a bit poignant, wondering where life went wrong. where she went wrong.

A silly, fluffy thing written for the Same Prompt Fic Party and inspired by a conversation with lesbianneptune

Someday, she thought, she would come
out with the truth. The pain and misery of her choices forced their
way into the crack of her soul, every freeze and thaw creating a
bigger crack. She knew someday that crack would overwhelm her desire
to protect Haruka, and she would have to confess, and the great rock
of her lies would come tumbling down.

But, on the positive side, she would no
longer find herself sitting in an Olive Garden, eating an oversalted
breadstick while some high school waitress tried to pronounce
Chianti.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I fucking love that Haruka’s just like trying to be so ~cool~ and ~suave~ with her thick-ass book (Haruka pls)

I also really…really really love that her head actually fits better on Michiru’s lap. Like, this was a design decision that they came to

“Haruka is OF COURSE going to be with Michiru so let’s have them be all cute and vaguely angsty” (because Haruka just looks so pensive) “but just in case some random fool only buys one of these two angst lords, we really should give her a prop like the skull of her enemy or-”

“oh I know! a book! She just loves those right?”

“………yeah sure, Tommy. Haruka loves books.”

I mean seriously. What’s she even going to do with that thing, brain someone with it? Seduce Michiru with it’s 300 pages of color illustrations of muscle cars?
