My paypal got “limited” (read: banned) today and is on lockdown for 6 months. I haven’t used it recently and this comes as a surprise.

Been looking around and seems a lot of people have been banned too and the reason might be because of RedBubble filing copyright claims?

Has anyone has this problem as well? Do you use RedBubble?

ok i talked with more artists on twitter and two confirmed that paypal told them its copyright issues from redbubble and the rest have not been told anything but has a redbubble account linked with their paypal

Called Paypal directly. Confirmed its RedBubble that caused my account to be permanently limited. They don’t know why (or wont tell) but told me that I’m not the only case that called them. IF you have a RedBubble account please look out. What I find the most disturbing is that I’ve checked my own RedBubble account and it has no warning or notification that they’ve done this to me and my stuff are still buyable ??

But I’m more worried about the attitude you reflect in your ask, that you can’t watch women’s rugby because you might find a woman attractive, and thereby objectify her. On beyond the idea of ‘is noticing that a woman is attractive an objectionable event? ‘ and ‘When we recognize attractiveness in a woman whose looks are not generally upheld by society, is that really objectification?’ and ‘does a woman really have the axis of power to really make another woman an object?’ 

All good questions! None of which I give a shit about! 

What I worry about here is you seem to be experiencing something I notice a lot in wlw. We are made, constantly, to feel as if our attractions are dirty and wrong somehow, that we should be ashamed, for one reason or another, to look on another woman with desire. 

This is false. You are not dirty or bad or #problematic for looking at another woman and noticing she is attractive. Or even saying that she is. We recast the stories we’re told in our head, to make them fit new worldviews, but very often they come back to the same conclusions society wants us to have, so ingrained is that personal narrative. Women should always give up space. As a woman, you owe everyone your time and understanding. For the love of god, don’t talk about how another woman is hot.

It’s so hard to move beyond this, so hard to let yourself really experience your own life and your own attractions in a genuine way. It took me years to do this, and I’m so sorry that it’s gotten to you on such a level that you believe watching a sport and noticing a girl would be somehow wrong. 

Watch the rugby. Notice the girl. You’re not dirty, or bad, or wrong, and I’ll fight anyone who says you are. 

so apparently some random dude in this complex who I’ve never met before can ask me where I live and then immediately jump to “so why no boyfriend?” because “he’s buzzed” and he “just wants to start a conversation”

YES this is basically what we have been ranting about. Het ships being made canon, despite everything that suggests it would not work, nevermind nevermind hets always get the romance, instead of friendship (i also would love to see more het friendship) whereas even if a non het pairing has AMAZING chemistry and love and SO MUCH feeling for each other, oh no nevermind the fans are reading too much into it, it’s all about friendship 🙂 🙂 🙂

I do know your pain very well at this point though, and I’ve screamed about it to you so much now that I’m sure the cosmos is sick of reverberating with it. Idk if it’s because I’m becoming older and just more done with how ~romance~ is acted out but I just feel kind of like it’s the same tired old thing? Idk maybe I’m just not looking in the right places.
