About Mooncakes:

Long-lost
childhood crushes Nova Huang and Tam Lang have reunited for the first
time in ten years. They have a lot more to deal with this time than just
being the only two Asian kids in school (who also happen to both have
magical abilities). The comic focuses on their relationship as they
struggle through bills, family, and weird horse demons in ways that only
a witch and a werewolf can.

About the Creators

Suzanne Walker
is a writer and editor who recently transplanted from New York to
Chicago. Her academic work has been published in Classical World and she
is an outspoken advocate of disability representation in comics and
science fiction, among other things. When not learning valuable lessons
in failure from the Cubs, you can find her daydreaming about lesbians in
Middle-earth.

Wendy Xu
is a Brooklyn-based illustrator and comics artist. Her published work
includes pencils for a twelve-page comic that was part of the New York
Historical Society’s “Chinese in America” exhibit, as well as a two page
comic in Shattered: The Asian American Comics Anthology. On her off days, she experiments with cooking magic and tries to get her cat to poop in the litter box like she’s supposed to.
