HOW ELSE CAN THERE BE A REDEMPTION ARC???

When we wish for a character to have a redemption arc it’s because we see they have the potential to be a good person, not because they already are one.

YOU CAN COME BACK FROM DOING BAD THINGS.  You can do better things.  You can make amends.  It will never be as if you hadn’t done the bad things and you will probably always have regrets and there will be some people who still can’t forgive you or don’t like you, but you can have a good life and be a decent person.

This is a particularly important thing for young people to understand because let me tell you some of you are going to fuck up and fuck up hard.
